Unique Design

Skycooler leases both RKN and RAP Cool Containers to its global partners. The Cool Containers are of unique design and manufactured to exactingly high standards by our manufacturing partners.

Skycooler Cool Containers are EASA and CAA certified and accepted by the FAA.

RAP

This temperature controlled main- and lower-deck ULD can hold almost three times more cargo than the RKN. It uses both dry ice and a temperature control unit to maintains the set temperature for several days.

It is perfect choice for return catering allowing for up to 37 x Half Sized ATLAS trolleys, boxes and ovens providing suitable catering for 250 to 300+ passengers.

The internal volume of the RAP is 8.2 m³ / 289.5 ft³

RKN

The RKN cool container is the most versatile ULD, it not only maintains the internal temperature for several days but is also compatible with 14 types of aircraft. It uses both dry ice and a temperature control unit to maintains the set temperature for several days.

RKN Cool Container’s provides space for 12 half sized catering trolleys with limited if any boxes, trays and ovens. Typical usage for premium passenger or specialised services.

The internal volume of the RKN is 2.9 m3 / 102 ft3

KEY POINTS

Skycooler RAP and RKN Cool Containers are manufactured and certified to FAA /EASA Standards and are supported by OEM for 10 years of service.

Container usage for typical 10 Year Service period represents 1,000 - 1,100 movements.

The containers are equipped with a temperature control system that maintains the set temperature and logs the measured data every 5 minutes throughout the journey and can be easily exported.
